Welcome to Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. Allow us to present to you the mountains, lakes, and points of interest that surround you while you’re in Canada’s Rocky Mountain National Parks.
As a part of the our Parks Companion series of apps for Canada’s Rocky Mountain National Parks, it has been specially translated and designed by a local guide for our Japanese-speaking friends here in Canada and from abroad.
“Way more than what you could find in any conventional guide book…”

THE MOUNTAINS AND LAKES
Detailed information and photos of the hundreds of peaks and the lakes you’ll see as you drive through the parks.
THE PLACES TO STOP
Several dozens of spots where you can safely stop to enjoy views, hike, picnic, camp, and learn about the landscape. At each of these locations, we’ll provide all the interpretive information and photos you’ll need to understand what you’ll be seeing and we’ll suggest short walks and hikes as well.
OFF THE GRID
Requires no "network" or "wireless" connection for full functionality. All information, photographs, and maps are integrated into the app itself.
DIRECTION FINDING
Select a mountain and the app will identify it for you and we’ll tell you which direction to look and how far away it is.
THE AUTHOR
Dave Birrell is accredited as a Professional Interpretive Guide by the Interpretive Guides Association. The app gives you full access to the knowledge and photos he acquired as he has travelled by car, on foot, on skis and on horseback through most of the valleys in the Canadian Rockies and to over a hundred of their summits. Dave is also the author of two books on the Canadian Rockies and www.peakfinder.com.
